After living in this house with the same (el carpo) kitchen for almost 20 years, we finally decided for our anniversary (39) that we would do a complete kitchen re-do. Can't wait! My kitchen cabinets and drawers are total doo doo!

You'll be really glad you did this.

When we bought our current house (almost 4 years ago), it had a brand-new kitchen with granite surfaces, stainless appliances, etc. (the house is about 25 years old).

I'm no cook but Lin is, and she loves having a really nice kitchen to work in (just like I love having a nice garage).

We had friends over the other night and we always get compliments on how nice the kitchen is. The previous owners did us well!
 
Boss, we did a total $40k kitchen redo and made it the kitchen of my wife's dreams!!
Sold the house a year later.
Watch out!
 
Wow Tom, And to think that was someones pride and joy back in ancient times! I love the wall color along with the black window trim! What more could you ask for! :encouragement: PJ

Have fun! I spent three years of evenings and weekends doing ours -- no labor so saved $$$$$$$.

One little thing I will suggest -- look into a product called DrawerDecor -- I love the stuff, my wife no longer calls me into the kitchen looking for some gadget she cannot find.
