Ok guys I have my real windshield installed and what a difference from the Brooklands. You can hear your passenfer talk! I have a new hood from the little british car company. Are there any hints or advice on what not to do and what to do? I need to finish the webbing then the hood. Should I work the snaps on the car first or start at the windshield? Any help is apperciated.
 
I think the received wisdom is to start with the center body attachment, work alternately left and right to get the lift-the-dot snaps nicely matched, and then move on to the windshield ( again starting at the center and working out). I also think it's very important that the temperature be cozy when you do all this. Otherwise, there will be sagging later on.
 
I have always started at the back where the webs attach,do right and left then the sides at the rear of the doors.After that,do the corners of the windscreen.Even with a warm working area, a heat lamp is a plus.Once these locating points are installed the rest is just straight foreward work,beer in hand!!

thanks for the info. It should be in the 80's today I will park in the sun and follow your advice.

That should make it easier (and was how the TR4s were done from the factory) but I'm not sure TR3s came that way (in case 'correct' is important to you).
 
With the brooklands it is like a motercycle. Great for around town but not for long drives. You can find them from any of the big three, about $150 each.
P.S. The Brooklands look really kool! it only takes about ten minutes to switch out the windshields.
