New Heritage Shell

I've started looking around for someone to do the bodywork on the new Sprite, and it seems anyone with a good rep is booked solid until next year, so I wouldn't get it back til after Spridget 50 (not ideal). So I figured maybe a new shell from British Motor Heritage could be the answer. Primed and ready to go they set you back ÂŁ3,800, but given the state of the existing shell it will be swings and roundabouts... However, looking at their website it seems they only do shells for post '67 Sprites, and my newbie is a '66.
Does anyone know how many changes there were between the 2 years, and if I'd be able to use it? I shall be calling BMH when I get a chance but it probably won't be til the end of next week at the earliest.

Pete, the two major differences I can think of are that the post '67 models had the folding top, which necessitated a 4" longer cockpit opening, and the brake and clutch master cylinders were separate items, in a larger pedal box.
If you could source a later pedal and cylinder assembly, along with a top mechanism, it should be no great difficulty to make the switch.

I thought his car was US spec?

Ah... I forgot about that one Jeff. Thanks

Mmmm...'68 Sprites have two wipers. Pretty sure.

Correct Jeff, I was talking about the new one.
Update: I have managed to find a couple of potential people to sort the body work, I shall hopefully be going to see them this coming Friday, time permitting. No price discussed as yet, as I need to take some pics of the car and see the standard of their work. With a little luck, I should have enough time tomorrow to finally get some pics taken, so I shall upload them once taken.
