A couple days ago I went up to a fly-in near Portsmouth NH. Wanted to check out some gyroplanes scheduled to participate by the Yankee Rotors club.
I'm glad I made the trip, but due to high wind, nearly everyone was out "shopping" at the malls! Ultralights don't take kindly to gusty conditions. I did see one original Piper Cub J-3 from the 1950s, but the rest were all recent model ultralight machines. It's the Cub that's flying over the field in one of the last pictures. Unfortunately, the only gyroplane there when I visited was an old Bensen-type.
Most were standard ultralight fixed wing, but there were also a couple power parachutes and a trike. Here's a link to some pictures:
