hi guys my name is wes and i am 21 and have grown up around little british cars. i bought my first one at the age of 12 for 100 bucks with some mowing money. i removed parts from that and moved on to my first real project a 72 spitfire with a gt6 engine.

Welcome....nice conversion. Spit w/GT6 engine!

Hi There 72 Spit,

I`d bet you wish you could buy one for $100.00 today!!

"Welcome" and Best Wishes with Your Spit.

Regards, Russ

toysrrus i came pretty close the spit that i am using for the conversion i got for 200 not much good on it but it did come with a running engine and i did have the opportunity to drive it up and down the drive way before i tore it all apart

Hello, Wes, and welcome to the party!

It is so encouraging to see the younger set catching the LBC bug. Keep us up to date on your experiences, and don't forget to post pictures!

Wes:

Welcome to the forum, please keep us posted on your progress, it is very interesting.

My first LBC was when 14/15 (ha, 30+ years ago) a running Midget with a bad second gear and alot of rust for $300, sounds like you got yourself a deal.

Only way to rebuild a car....you'll love it when it is finished.

:savewave: Welcome to the Forum!

Hi Wes, welcome. Great to see a young guy like you enjoying old cars, it proves the skills won't be lost just yet! You'd never have this much fun with a Hyundai Lantra, nor learn so much.

Welcome aboard Wes!
