First post, great site. In New Mexico(no rust)Own a VW resto shop but have owned English cars for 40 years. Currently have a 77 B roadster, 3 MGB-GTs, and a MGC-GT I'm about to paint and re-install new interior(have owned ot 21 years. Have tons of extra parts to find new homes for. C should be completed next week then B roadster gets painted. Jack Q.

And welcome to our mess.

Some pics would be nice along with your web site address.

I am sure your parts will find a home, folks are always looking.

Parts are for what? Bugeye maybe mixed in there?

Welcome to the insanity Jack. And no matter what anyone says about me, it's probably true!

Pictures! We love pictures. For some reason a few Triumph and Bugeyes hang around in here, I think it's because we're more fun than their own forums!

Our esteemed Bazul aka bossman aka site owner is in NM too. We're about to paint our '66. Only took 4 months to pick a color.

Very welcome-my son is building MGBGT - but there seems always to be something missing! Right group/ I bought one too but let him get good at it and he can help MOM.

Welcome JackQ... an' "Lord have mercy on yer soul!" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Assuming a period of lurkin' about and a decision (whether for good or ill) to step outta the dark, we're a fairly casual bunch with a penchant to drive old English Iron for all it's worth. Have a seat! I'd offer a beer but every time I try that it winds up onna keys instead... along wif knuckle bruses from th' CRT.

Another "old shoe" is added to th' mix!!! WOO HOO!!!

Welcome to the Monkey House, Jack. Haven't been to Clovis lately, but used to go into Cannon quite a bit. Is the Seventh Street Annex still there?

Welcome Jack from the mountains of Virginia. These folks are great and so helpful that I've recently changed this to my homepage. There's a weath of info here and lots of fun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've been here for 25 years..whats the 7th. St. Annex?? I retired off the F-111s in 88, Hydraulics but was all systems qualified. Lived TDY..had so many I got credit for an additional overseas tour ending up with four.Vietnam,Japan,England and the one here. My MGC-GT will hopefully be ready for me to paint it next week, start the reassembly and head out for Las Cruces the end of April for British Car Days..three days.

Lots of us old GIs beating around this site, you will feel right at home. No time in Europe but Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and twice in Thailand, once with family.
What's with us and LBCs? Strange bedfellas.

Apparently, JackL (and now we gotta "differentiate" t'wixt Mr. Jack Laird and Mr. JackQ!).

I got a ride in a 111: "Photo Chase" ride when the "Blackbird" was still waaay "black.' Over the Nevada desert. TDY'd to Nellis to do it. Neat aircraft!

Double welcome JackQ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

I turned down every ride that was offered in the 111. They were dropping out of the sky faster than we could launch them. A buddy flew with the squadron comm. from Cannon to Fl. Over Alabama they had a double engine flame out(hail stones if you can beleive that) Anyhow by the grace of God..one engine kinda relit. IFEd into some small airport..my buddy nearly strangled the commander. He was scared to death.

Jack, as I remember, the 7th St. Annex was a pawn shop / flea market kind of place.
Rode a 111 once, at Mountain Home. TFR, at night, in WX.
My buddy in the left seat got a big kick out of pulling out a newspaper and reading it, or at least pretending to.
Never again.
Jeff
