101st Airborne, but a little later than UH-1's - those were put out to pasture before I came along.

The UH-60L was puddle jumper of choice, and for the crazy stuff in Iraq I was blessed to be taxied in MH60K's and they had stuff they still don't write about.
Good times, but the good times here have less sand.

You will find some great guys here - gals too.

Your stories about Normandy I look forward to.

Steve I hope you get to Normandy. I've been there and along the northern coast of France. Lots of history. As I stood looking over the Normandy beach I couldn't help but get choked up. There was a young French boy acting up and his mother told him to be quiet and have respect for those that died there for their freedom. A very moving experience for me.

Remember, if you love your freedom and lifestyle thank a serviceman or servicewoman!
 
Happy Memorial Day,

My father was promoted to Captain at Omaha. The previous Captain ate a bullet on June 4. My cherished memory was watching Tom Hanks as a Captain in Spielberg's movie with my dying father.

I hope we all remember some gave some, and some gave all.
