MGC New Gas Tank for my C

I'm thinking of replacing the gas tank on my 69 C with one from Moss Motors. The one I have now has had gas sitting in it for more than four years and it was recommended to me to replace it or have it boiled out. Since it's more expensive to have it boiled out than to buy an upgraded one from Moss I'm thinking I'll just buy the one from Moss.

It's a $158 +$20 oversize shipping and the tank is 16 gallons. My question is have any of you had experience with the Moss 16 gal tank? what do you think of it? and should I just get the old one boiled out?

Thanks
Kev

That doesn't seem to be an unreasonable price for a new tank. I might try and look around inside the old tank (emptied of fuel) to see how bad it is. If it's rusty an pitted, I would just go with the new tank.

The 16 gallon tank is a new entry for Moss. There have been a couple of other suppliers of this size in the past.

If you do a lot of touring, it might come in handy.

Thanks for the input. I've got something to think about now. I'll let you guys know what I find in the tank when I remove it.
