Well:
One thing is for sure if a car was specially ordered you could get anything you wanted to pay for, and in most cases they did not follow the production standard.
Especially if the person ordering the car was Len Lord! By the way, in case info to the contrary surfaces later: I was told the car was special-ordered for "Lord Lambury". Len Lord's name was not mentioned, but a little searching on the internet determined him to be Len Lord. The car was built in July '67 and Len Lord died in September. According to BMIHT records, the Destination of the car was "not recorded". My information about the car being special ordered by Lord Lambury for one of his daughters came from persons in the UK who are knowledgeable about such stuff.
By the way, the cert says that "This car was finished in a special one-off colour scheme. A hard top was not normally available for convertible models."
