the other day i saw a car sitting outside my high school's auto shop. I've noticed it there before(its sat there for about 10 years) but i just relized it was a fiero. i went over right away to look if it even had seats(*crosses fingers as I run up to the car). yep it had two seats it was an 86. no speakers in the seats but can cut holes for them. one of the windows is busted out, so i wak around to the other side and even thugh they have probally been rained on for years they wern't that bad. I go to talk to the school auto shop's teacher. he wasn't there and they had a sub. i come back the next day as soon as i can because i cant wait to try to get those seats. and he tells me I can have them both for $50. and hes gonna take them out for me tommorow. I'm so happy because I now have some new seats for my MGB. Just now where am I going to put them?? I can use them as chairs in my room untill i put them in.

now for the question: will i need the seat rails from the fiero or do I use the ones that are in my MGB??

get the seat rails. yes please, sure might be usefull. it is doubtful the original rails will line up with your new seats. with the fireo rails and seats it should be fairly easy to align and drill new holes, or possible use at least one or two of the original holes.
Nice seats by the way

Congrats

Adam,
Before you get into the installation get in touch with Tony Barnhill at the autoist.com (I think).
He posts hereabouts & has done several conversions. Knows the 'ins & outs'.

definetly talk to Tony, and if you need anything else, there is a salvage yard in your neck of the woods called the Fiero Factory. guess what their specialty is. I've never seen so many fieros in one place at a time. I think this is where they go to die. I saw it on the way to Tony's and he can tell you exactly where it is

Not a bad deal on the seats, nothing especially unusual, about normal...now, you'll need a couple more sets of 'feet' so you can modify them to fit your original MG seat holes...&, you'll need to reupholster them & do some repairs to the bolsters...I do it all the time...&, you're correct, putting speakers in them is easy - but remember to drill air holes in backs of head rests!

Thanks..I stole it from Martyn!

oh one more question im getting mr mikes kit and on the seats im getting the holes for the seat belts throught the seats do those go just straigh through the seat or to the botom of the seat?? im getting some 5 point seatbelts and i need to know where to mount them?? do you have any pictures of the back of the seat??

In with Mr. Mike's kit are instructions for cutting the holes for the shoulder harnesses - on each side of the headrest....cut them bigger than he says! Or, bring one by & I'll show you how to cut it! (&, you can see my custom Mr. Mike leather covers that look like Ferrari seat covers...with MG logo, speakers, & 5-point harness!

Adam...can you post the full size photo instead of the thumbnail one?....looks like a beautiful car!

Join 'theList'...send me a full size photo & I'll post it on my site...then, you can link to me!

actually Adam, 640x480 is the best resolution for the internet. anything else takes too long to load and uses too much of Tony's bandwidth

I'll just resize them, chuck....do it on all photos I post...have a standard size to which I reduce them.
