How is the weather across the pond?

Get ready for more cold weather over the next 5-6 years out of the next 11 as the sunspot cycle changes once again.

This is what got the global warming pundits (bandits) going and it occurs every 11 years. Add that to El Nino winds and you have the awful snow that hit New England all winter and again this past weekend.

It was NOT the smoke stacks in China or Indian that did it.

No, I'm not a meteorologist, but a good friend is and if he says it's true, I'm convinced that that others are full of $hit.

I agree weather is cyclical as well as our changing planet. conditions have changed since earths conception and will continue to do so long after we are all gone. Human existence is barely a blip on the radar and if the earth is changing I doubt that we could have changed it if we wanted to.

When we can fix what a volcano like Mt. St. Helen's did without anyway to prevent it, we can solve global issues that MAY have an affect on the weather. Not that we should intentionally pollute or lower the quality of life for those around industrial areas, but the answer is not to tax the US while the rest of the world does what they want and beats us to death in business competition.

Gents,

It has been the worst winter on record for at least 30 years in Europe. Temps have been right around freezing since last Nov with snow fall far above normal. We finally experienced our first full day of sunshine today but there is plenty of snow remaining in the Alps. We just need a few more nice days and then we can say that winter has lost her icy grip!!!

Cheers,
BOC

It's not going to get better for much of the next 5-6 years as we are in a sunspot cycle that comes around (actually lasts for) every 11 years that will actually bring cooler weather for half the cycle before it starts warming up again.

This is how they predicted so accurately in the Farmers Almanac.

What has happened lately is the changing winds of the El Nino and that can push warm air north faster over the winter and when it hits the cold air, you get heavy snow and rain.

NOT global warming, just a cycle that has happened over and over and over again created by the suns activity. Ham radio operators plan their communications around it and always have since radio began in the early 1900's.

That info came from a meteorologist, obviously not from Al Gore and his flunky followers who want to tax us to death to be able to nothing about what is really happening.

Exactly. The climate IS changing, just as it has changed constantly as long as the earth has existed. Cycles upon cycles upon cycles until what little data we have is crazier than the stock market. Anyone who claims to fully understand it is either insane, or lying.

Ever wonder why Greenland is covered in ice, while Iceland is covered in green?

HA-HA-HA!!!

That is a great analogy....the ice and green oxymoron........

Well, this is not New England, but MT has experienced one of the top 5 coldest & snowiest winters since 1893. Thanks God for global warming, else think how cold it would've been!

I finished my 71 Spitfire ans the windshield and looking forward to enjoying it and my 65 TR4.
Cheers! Don Missoula, MT
