New Engine Progress Tuesday 05-06-08

fantastic so ya may be driving this weekend huh?

No rain!!!No rain!!No rain!!!

Paul do you think this year you'll
be attending British by the Sea at Harkness park June 1st?

My wife keeps saying your car is just a computer image!!

Bill,

My wife and I are planning to be there. I just mailed our check and registration in this morning, so we're going.

Actually, I believe that there will be a good contingency from the Cape Cod Club driving down, because it's on our calendar of planned members events this year.

And there are always a group from British Motorcars of NE and NE Triumphs, so the turnout should be great.

Hi Paul,

"VERY, VERY, NICE".

Keep on trucking!

Regards, Russ

Congradulations Paul, on being able to convince your wife it's almost finished. You and I both know, these things are never finished. And, don't worry, I can keep a secret!

Her last comment on the way home; "Don't get any ideas about another project car, now that this one is almost finished".

Yes, Dear.........
The operative word here being "almost"... Well it's always almost finished, these things just never seem to be completely finished.

Thats great Paul Im looking forward to meeting your car in person. I'm gunna take lots of photos to give my wife ideas for our next project!!! (AH3K)............

.....................i can dream..............

Rich and Searcher,

You guys are correct. It's not quite done yet. I still have the new dash to install after cleaning up the gauges, but that may wait until winter. After hearing the engine run tonight, I just want to drive it.

Bill,

Are you kidding me??? My wife won't let me polish the furniture!

Actually, you can see the reflection of the cat in the glove box door standing between the snow banks.

I bought this from an expert here in MA who makes high end polished dashes for Healey's and Jag's:

Bill,

He did mine and one for a TR4 as an experiment to see if he wanted to get into Triumph dashes. I don't know if he's made more, but I paid $75 less than Moss wants for the high gloss Burlwood.

I'm not saying anything to her. The bills aren't all in yet for this engine project. Luckily, I bought this dash back in the fall, so it's paid for already.

My keyboard is awash. With A&W ~DIET~ "root beer"...

Brosky, we gotta talk.

E-y-e candy. Very nice dash, Paul.

Just gotta say I'm hung up on small stuff. You'll
see from my posts. Moving very slowly. Still got a lot
to do, and working a bit longer hours and other
commitments, you know.

Paul-

Absolutely gorgeous. So, uh, what did your dash guy do with that prototype TR4 dash? If he needs someone to trial fit for him, I might be able to help!
