Well now, it has gotten really busy here at American Shine Products, but that is not what this post is about. I have to say that I am really excited about my 66 Chevelle. You see, last year I pulled up after a car show and my bride who is VERY WISE noticed that there was something wrong with the car. It was making a horrible sound out of the engine compartment. She stated that it sounded like I needed a new engine! Well, who was I to argue with her /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif, and so as any good husband, I agreed! Here is where it gets really good. For the past 6 months I have been collecting Big Block Chevy parts, and just yesterday sent off everything to the engine builder! He said it should be about a week, and we are going to put the motor on a dyno before dropping it into the chevelle. What will be going into the car is a 40 over 396 Chevy motor with a Mooneyham 671 blower, edelbrock alumnum heads, crane roller rockers, forged crank, polished rods, and a plethora of other additions to pull out as fine a street daily driver as I could muster up. I ahve to thank my bride for never asking when the new parts were coming in "how much?". We should have it mated up with the new 200 R4 trans in about 2 weeks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

That would be pretty cool engine for FDNY-UNIT 512 (my race-support van). I could probably make it up to Ontario and The Glen a lot quicker.

[/ QUOTE ]That's a daily driver? I can't imagine commuting to my office each day in a blown BBC with premium gas at $2.25 a gallon. And here I thought a new Ford Racing crate small block for my Mustang was a tough sell to my wife! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
