Well, my GF finally got tired of driving a mom car, and traded in her Dodge Intrepid for an 05 VW New Bettle Convertible. I know it's not English, but it is still a fun car to drive.
I was surprised at how the car handles, and especially noise while the top is up.
It's no MG, but then again it is 40 years newer (and moves under it's own power).
