TR2/3/3A New Control head wiring - Moss purchase

Hello!

Long time reader, first time poster. I've bought a new control head for my 62 Tr3a from Moss. This item here..

Unfortunately the item comes with mismatched coloured wiring to the factory harness. Has anyone already been through the install and can shed some light on the correct colour-to-colour matches? As the wiring on the control head tucks behind the mounting plate, I can't tell where they lead inside the unit.

I must admit wiring and electrics aren't my strong point.

What colors do you have? Usually it's only the wire marked green on the diagrams that is different. I don't recall what mine was offhand, but something like light green with brown.

Easy enough to figure out, if you have an ohmmeter (or multimeter) or a powered test lamp (aka continuity checker).

1) Move the turn signal lever to the right, and use your tester to find which two wires are connected together electrically. Mark those (or note their colors).

2) Now move the lever to the left and check again.

One wire should be common to both positions, it connects to the GN (green with brown) in the harness. This is the feed from the flasher unit near the control box. (On a LHD car, it also goes through a connector near the horns on the RH side.)

The wire that was only connected in step 1) goes to GW, for right turn; the wire that was only connected in step 2) goes to GR for left turn.

The remaining wire is normally noticeably thicker than the other three, and goes to NB for the horns.
