Tired of freezeups with Windows XP on my 10-year old Dell, I sprung for a new Dell Inspiron 3847 - I think a discontinued model - but it only cost me $478 and seems to work good although it took me a while to get onto the Internet with much fiddling. This thing has Windows 10 - so far so good. I use PC Warehouse. When things go wrong - as they always do - their repair guy here is great.

Congrats on the new computer. I got a Dell Dimension 9150 this summer, and put Windows 10 on it. No problems so far - but be sure you read this:

The default configuration tends to share a lot of personal info to "the Cloud" - or at least with Microsoft.
Other than that, I'm becoming quite a fan of Windows 10. Sure beats Win 8.

After the usual glitches and problems including being unable to access my CD Drive to download Office 2007 and being continually prompted to download Office 365 for $9.99 a month forever and send my files into the "Cloud", this morning I was able to finally download 2007 and all my saved files on my little flash drive so I'm almost back to where I was before. I also instinctively declined to create a Microsoft account as your Link pointed out. I figured if its good for Microsoft, it's bad for me. So far so good. Thanks, Tom for the Link.
