New color for an old Bugeye

[ QUOTE ]
Hap,

This is the car I got from Klaus. I've been meaning to send him some pictures but wanted to wait until I could take a "money" shot.

I'm in Anderson but havent had a good experience communicating with FBCC. The president answered my email at first when I was looking for a car to buy but since then my messages have gone unanswered. Maybe when I show up in an actual LBC they'll give me more time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Did you happen to know Butch White?

The president changes every year, so we get what we pay for /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif John Sharpe is this year's president, and overall I take my hat off to him for the job he has done, but John does run a full time business American Tool and Machine in Anderson, and I have had some trouble with reaching him by email myself. I recommend you just come to a meeting, we meet once a month, one month in Anderson and on month in Greenville, second Tuesday of the month, 7 pm. Our Greenville meeting spot is Fuddrucker on Woodruff Rd., just off I-385 and our Anderson Meeting spot is Frodos Pizza on Hwy 81. In fact, I know it's last minute, but we meet to tonight in Greenville at Fuddruckers. We normally have about 50 people at a meeting, and it a very hands-on bunch, they know thier cars as a group. Alsao we are very couples oriented, so bring the wifey if you like, the girls often times have thier own activities as well. Our club is also the founders of Eurofest at BMW and still the driving force behind that event. So Ben, forget the email stuuf, just come on out and meet us all, if you cannot make tonight's meeting, come to the next month's in Anderson, we'd love to have you.

Yes I met Butch when I first joined the club, he and I had some serious gearhead talks, I've only been a member now like less than 3 years myself, so it wasn't long after I was a member when Butch got sick, he was interested in me taking a look at his tranny business, but at the time I had cold feet, just getting Acme going and all. He did however give me his English contact for all the MGB/A/TD tranny stuff he used to buy.

Hap I cant make it tonight but may be able to talk the wife into next week when it's in Anderson.

I worked for Butch and his wife back in the early ninties. I saw a few MGA's come to life during those years. What a great person he was.

Iris Blue...Brings back memories of my first car ever..a 62 Sprite..Nice...Real nice

Ben, new metting place for the October/Anderson meeting,
O'Charleys, Clemson Blvd, second Tuesday of October at 7pm.
It will be a big meeting as the group gets ready for Eurofest. I'll miss this meeting, as I'll be in Topeka, Kansas at The SCCA Runoffs, but for sure be at Eurofest.
