The new Cibies arrived last week from DS lighting...now to relay 'em.

On the advice of my local autoelectrician, rather than follow the usual route of mini relays and seperate fuseboxes, I've decided to go with a heavy duty, dedicated all-in-one headlight relay unit, similar to this one here.

Will keep you all posted!

I just ordered Hella 500 ambers. I don't have them yet, but looking forward to it. Let us know how the install goes and post pics!
 
Sweet! All wired in and nicely tidily loomed away. I mounted the relay just forward of the radiator on the RHS, right in place to pick up the factory wiring, as others have suggested. Took a feed from the Bosch 85 Amp post - and now can't wait until night to try 'em out!!

Thats awesome. I can't wait to get mine on. I almost ran out of road without knowing it tonight-its so dark and the stock headlights are like little flashlights!
 
Wow! Had the new lights out for a long drive in the country...the difference between these and the old GE sealed halogens is out of this world. No more outdriving the headlights now! The car is running sweetly too - enjoyed the bends and twists of NZ's mountainous terrain, in the wet...but cruised through at between 100 and 110kph. What fun!

...now, can I resist to add some "50% brighter Xenon Halogens" into the mix...I doubt it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
