New Chroming Method

Because the EPA seems to be working overtime to close down all the chrome shops they can, a fairly new chroming method has come to light. Shown on Jay Lenos show, which showed him being very impressed with the finished product. Has anyone had any chroming done using this new process? I was thinking it might be useful on interior parts, don't know how it will stand up to the elements. PJ

Looks like the Alsa product. I've done some nickel plating at home with Caswell's kits. They have what they call a copy chrome kit that I haven't used. Caswell used to be a supporting vendor here at the BCF.

Not sure, but I know they spray like three or four different coats of material on the object and the final coat chemically changes the finished surface to chrome or numerous other color finishes. The colors can even have flecks of other colors in them for a different metal flake appearance. Pretty cool! PJ
