New carpets

New carpets installed but do not sit to my liking in a few places. Anyone ever used a glue gun to adhere rugs and panels that do not seem to cooperate?
 
Snaps sometimes. Carpets get wet.Standard LBC practice was to make removable in the event of getting caught in a downpour.
 
other than mats mine are all glued - contact cement
