New Carpeting / Interior ....

Spritenut,

I like your approach. How do you handle the seats? Are you using one of the kits sold by Moss/VB OR did you have an upholstry shop do it?

I used masonite for 1 panel I first got my midget. It was the only thing missing. I didn't think about covering it with vinyl but just spray painted it black. Say about how much vinyl material did you need to purchase to cover all the masonite?

Not a lot, like a yard and a half as I remember. Think I bought mine in Wallmart in Atlanta in 1976, hehe.

My local shop recovers the seats, he makes the covers suppliys the vinyl and does it all for less than the seat kits cost.
Last year it was still $100 per seat, I drop off a lousy seat and pick up a nice new one a week later.
As for yards of vinyl, I think 4 yds does a Spridget including the seats. Watch the fabric store and k0mart type vinyls they do not hold up and wear out in a few months.
Get the right stuff from a local shop, you will be amazed at how many colors and styles he can get.
