Wedge new carpet for the green tr8

The green TR8 came back from the carpet shop. I'm pleased with the results. The plan is to delete the rear vinyl panel and just have carpet behind the seats. Today I cleaned and painted the top frame before installing new fuzzy seals and nylon webbing. Next chance I get, I'll install the tan canvas top. Then it's back to the upholsterer for a new matching canvas boot cover. Looks like it will play out well with the leather trim and a freshly dyed tan dashboard. I'm trying for a look that is a little more elegant than the stock plaid and vinyl.

That will look great Todd.

What's going in under the hood of this one?

I really like the tan interior with the green car, I can't wait to see the dash

I been wanting to do Gray with my darker green, but I just can't decide enough to pull the trigger.

This one is getting a twin turbo 4 liter. I spent the last couple of years preparing the driveline to handle the power. I Built a Ford 31 spline posi 8.8 out of an Explorer for it and kept the 5 by 4.5 wheel bolt pattern. I had to modify struts from a SD1 for the front to get a five bolt hub. It has tons of reinforcements on the floor, huge disc brakes, and a fully adjustable suspension. Hoping for 350-400 wheel HP with good drivability in a car that weighs 2200 pounds. Right now it still has a modest 3.5. I'm still in the process of sourcing and fabricating parts for the turbo motor. Should be able to get er done in the next year for less than what Woody gets for those 300 HP 5 liters he's famous for.

Todd - that came out great! Too bad the seat backs will hide all that workmanship!

Todd, that looks fantastic! The tan is an elegant choice to go with the green paint. Can't wait to see what it looks like when complete! --MH

8 yards of custom automotive carpet. I couldn't get my first color choice.(a little darker) I'm working on my top as I write this. Just waiting for some glue to dry before I proceed, so I thought I'd take a lunch break. I should have it done by tonight- unless the wife and kids change my plans.

I've been in some of Woody's 300HP creations and they scared the C--P out of me. I can't even imagine how fast this one will be.
