Yesterday was our anniversary, so I bought her a new car: an 06 Dodge 1500 quad cab pick-up. I tried to steer her towards the Challenger but she went with the pick-up. It is a very nicely built pick-up; quiet on the highway, comfortable, the doors shut with authority, nicely appointed (for me that just means it has a decent radio, no tv screen, sat-nav, or other prissy options); overall just a very solid feeling ride. The only issue is it is a little high for her to get into easily, so I am thinking that installing running boards are in my future. Now we are off to the NE (of Oklahoma) to get tribal tags so I don't have to spend so much money on the darned things.

Happy anniversary Walter! Wow, what a nice anniversary gift! Good luck with it and many happy miles! :encouragement: PJ

Happy Anniversary!
i got the Weston oval running boards for my 2010 Ram 1500. Bought them thru Weston.com & got factory 2nds for a great price. Couldn't be happier with them. Made well & easy to install.

Great truck BTW:

Happy anni, Walt!

Thanks for the well wishes fellas.
Doug, I meant 06, I don't buy brand new cars. I have no desire to buy something which will depreciate immediately, consequently I tend to buy good used cars.
Guy, Thanks for the website I'll go check them out.

Walter,

I was just clarifying,as you said "new" - now I get it.
Anyway, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! We have over 37 of them,& now
that we have the house to ourselves, things are better than ever.

Doug, no worries. My wife won't ever let me get to have more than about ten to twelve at a time. It seems to hit critical mass at that point and I have a fire sale. I then slowly build up more cars until I hit that ten to twelve mark and it all starts over again.

If im not mistaken, I believe Doug is referring to 37+ blissful anniversaries......not cars.
Good luck with "house to our selves".

Oh yeah, I do kind of suppose that makes sense. I was fairly impressed with the number of cars Doug had managed to accumulate over the years too. I am also fairly impressed with the number of years of wedded bliss you have accumulated Doug.

Yes 37 years - NOT cars,
My Wife's an IDIOT - She's been with the same guy
for about 40 years.
And yet "we" still have six project cars around here.
