New car, new garage - WHAT A WEEKEND!!

Country flag
Offline
What a weekend I just had! On Friday the county inspector signed off on our commercial building in the back lot that we had rehabbed over the winter, and part of the rehab was putting a four car garage in it. On Saturday morning I moved the 100-6 into its new nest, and next weekend I'm going to tow my Bugeye over from where it has been stored for the last four years.

On Sunday morning the folks from South Carolina delivered the 67 Sprite that I had bought last month - they are car dealers, and come north every month or so to pick up cars, and they brought my Sprite along. It needs a new choke cable, new battery (bought one yesterday), and some work on the hood release, otherwise it road ready until I have time (and money) to do some things to it.
The garage is just a shell, so I've got a lot of work to do there, but who cares - a home for the Healeys, what could be better!!!!

Oooooh, a new garage - I like garages!!

Remember: Lawn is just space where no garage has yet been built!!

Yep, we've got 40 mph wind gusts and rain blowing sideways, and I'm outside playing with the new sprite, putting a battery in to drive it back to the garage - pics coming soon!

Sweet!

Nope, no lift yet. Right now all I've got is a enclosed shell with lighting, cement floor and studded out walls. I'm in the process of hanging pegboard and plywood right now (along with a thousand other things). Next comes the work benches, and maybe even some kind of heat, since we have to provide it to the rest of the building anyway. A lift is something way in the future, the budget for the garage comes out of my picture framing business, which I do as a side job. My new frame shop is on the second floor directly over the garage, so I'm having to build all of that out at the same time. Too much to do in too little time. BUT the 100-6 is in the garage, the 67 sprite is going in tomorrow, and the bugeye is coming from it's long term storage lot next week, so things are slowly coming together. If you track down the people with the lift, let me know.
