new car in family, 67 w/sebring bonnet

The PO kid finally got his paperwork ducks in a row and will be delivering my 'new' 67 MkIII Sprite with a Sebring bonnet tomorrow morning.
The wife is less than thrilled but I assured her it would morph into a Morris truck within a year or less. Something to do this winter for giggles. Yeehaw!

I could shoot a quick and dirty yellow on the bonnet and fit it to Bugsy for the gas savings to/from LoO, but at this point I think I'll stand pat and just throw a tarp over it until winter.

Cool. Post pictures.

And be careful with a tarp.

My non-Brit other race car (Escort GT) lives outside and even thought it's basically a throw-away car I won't put a tarp over it.
I built a "frame" over it of small-diameter PVC pipe and bungee cords and I put a cheap car cover over the frame. This way, the cover does not sit on the body and air can move over the car.
Really, the only reason I cover it is to "hide" it so it doesn't look like I have some old bomb in my driveway.

Laying a tarp on a car can trap moisture and increase rust/corrosion.
