I wanna know how ya found an ELK in South Carolina?!?! :jester:

Historically speaking ELK ...WERE...here in the mountains as well as Bison. They are re-introducing Elk in nearby areas.
I bought this hide from a Native American friend at his shop.
I dedicated one wall of the cabin to native arts/artifacts.
I'm part Cherokee. Small part but a part nonetheless.
Lye soap and wash stand. Twists of tobacco with spittoon
are at the ready by the rocker too. Butter churn and some other
old ways stuff are also displayed.
Oil lanterns and candles provide the lighting.

Re: new cabin "toy"

I love the cabin and the new toy -- just the right thing for a relazer after a long day of Spritely driving.

At least one of those jars are from Wisconsin! Rowe Pottery in Cambridge, WI. Yankee pottery? Whatever next!

Well, we ain't above trading with Yankees.
Several of the jugs were locally made.
My Japanese friend has even donated a Sake jug
from Japan along with some extra fine Sake. (not in old pic)
All the jugs are "loaded". Whiskey, Scotch, Bourbon,
Vodka, Gin etc. and of course the little brown jug is XXX.
My Mexican friend donated a jug from Mexico loaded with Tequila.

All are welcome at Point-o-View. Just gimme a heads up so I can give ya the current gate pass code, run any bears off and
set in some vittles.
Your view while relaxing.
Note the proximity of the outhouse to the two bears.
See...not all bears crap in the woods.
