New Bugeye harness

Since I have a new harness for a Bugeye and a 1275 engine with an SU pump, where would the best place be to pull Electrickery from?

From the fuse box through a relay, pump should draw about 5 to 6 amps so run it through a fuse that has low amp draw...

Thanks! I'd not thought of using a relay and I'm assuming that you would pull power from the white wire or ? Does the SU fuel pump pull enough power to need a relay? If I use a relay would the best place for the signal be from the white wire terminal on the ignition switch?

Yes it would be the white wire! You don't have to have run a relay. Its purpose is to not over stress the fuse box allowing the relay to carry the load like all cars have today! Its a personal choice!! I have relays for my headlights, wipers, radiator cooling fan, fuel pump.

Thanks again! Just to recap, I'll run a wire from the white wire terminal on the ignition switch to a relay, the relay will feed power to the fuel pump from a hot source at the fuse box with an inline fuse. I'll use white wire from the ignition switch to the relay and from the relay to the positive side of the pump as well as from the fuse box to the relay AND ground as normal.

Yes, white wire from ignition switch! Some fuel pump relay's have 5 pins but a 4 pin relay works just fine in this situation. Your relay will have a diagram on it describing each pins function. All my relays are 4 pin!!
