Has anyone seen Bill's new book, "Triumph TR2, 3 & 3A In Detail"? Wondering if he has revealed some new and interesting details.

I don't think it has been published yet. I have had it on order for a few months now.

My daughter brought me a copy, signed by Bill, when she came home from London for Christmas. It's definitely available. I haven't had time to read it yet but I had to have a copy. Bill was my navigator in the fun rally at TRA in Williamsberg Virginia in the '90s.

Don,
I read the description but it sounded just like his other book "Triumph by Name Triumph by Nature", does this new read cover something new?

Don: Are you sure you're not confusing this book with Bill's book, "Triumph: Sport and Elegance" which has a red TR-4A on the cover?

I was referring to the new one with the red cover "Triumph Sport and Elegance". Bill has no date for the new TR2 TR3 book.

Bill Piggott seems determined to "battle it out" with Graham Robson as king of the Triumph books! I've little to quibble about when Bill talks TRs, but from what I've seen, I do wish he'd do just a tiny bit more (and better) research before writing about other Triumphs. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Bill's Sports and Elegance book was published in November. The In Detail book is due in March '07 according to Amazon UK.

Don, how many cannon did you pass on the right? How's my old navigator, Bill Gray?

John - I can't remember how many cannons we counted. I can only remember who came in first in that fun rally and who came in last. Remember the stream that we had to ford twice ? That was cool !

Bill is fine and still drives his black TR3A. He had it re-sprayed and has put in a TR6 transmission with overdrive. In Collingwood in July, at the Toronto Triumph Club's Canadian Classic, out of 5 entries, he took 1st in class with Greg Walker 2nd and I was awarded 3rd with 92,000 miles since my restoration.
