After about 300 delays, it looks like the America On Wheels Museum will be opening next month.
Here is the write up from Hemmings Weekly Newsletter:
"Do you remember the Billy Joel song Allentown? It was about all the factories closing down and doom and gloom. Well, in March, the owners of some pretty cool muscle cars will be moving in to the Pennsylvania city in anticipation of a ribbon cutting at the all-new America On Wheels, April 8.
The American muscle car is one of the featured exhibits, and so far, a Hemi ’Cuda, COPO Camaro and 1964 GTO convertible have been located for the exhibit. The rules are that the cars must be legitimate and documented muscle cars, and no recreations are permitted. If the cars are not like they were from the factory, they do not qualify to be in the display.
This is going to be a big deal, and one of the featured guests at the ribbon cutting will be actor Nicolas Cage, a big-time muscle-car collector and, of course, star of the movie, Gone in 60 Seconds.

I hope to become a volunteer to help there, but I cannot get the America On Wheels web site to down load the form so far...
