Good to find another club! I'm out in Colorado, and in the process of saving a neglected 1965 Spitfire Mk2 .

I bought the car more than a year ago, just as a hobby. I do a little here and there and hope to get it painted soon.

It took me a while to get the fuel system refurbished (from tank to carbs), which has now allowed me to move on to other parts of the car. I discovered that VicBrits glove boxes (listed for the 71-80 models) actually fit a Mk2.

Thanks. I spent many long days just driving around. This Spit was just too good to pass up. Even my wife loves it!
 
In the short time I have been here, I have benefitted greatly. It was tough, but I was able to donate to the site via the "My Stuff" pull-down, then by selecting "Subscription". I think the site might need an obvious DONATION bar. :smile:

I've had the Spit our for a few short drives, and she seems to be happy. It looks like I could use some new rubber, a nicer steering wheel, and then it will just be odds and ends with an eventual paint job!

I wish we had our own little Spitfire section. I think we lose a lot of threads due to the forum format (like trying to search for other owners of the same vintage of car.
