I think this car was on eBay awhile back. I remember asking myself the same question?

is this the same "new" 1980 MGB LE that was on eBay last year? I remember seeing it listed and the bid price got up into the 20Ks....
 
when i was a younger kid i worked for a dealership that had a '81 B in it, that had (est) about 1,000 miles on it, i was spotless though.

i was stoked when i bought my BGT as it only 40k on the clock. (and to many small engine detail stickers to have more than that)
 
This car's been up for auction at least once before. Reserve wasn't met. I suppose they're trying again.

Love the question about the original Uniroyal tires. As if I'd drive a car with 26 year old tires on it.
 
Yeah this has definatly been advertised before.....If you look at the eninge pic there seams to be alot of dirt collected in areas that are difficult to reach(behind overflow tank, around the M/C,and in the trought near the bottom of the engine compartment on the drivers side)...If the car has only been stored it's whole life why would there be so much dirt in the engine compartment?

My roommate in college's dad bought a Toyota MR2 the first year ('85) they came out. He drove it home put it on jack-stands in his garage. Said that some day it was going to be worth a lot of money. I saw it a couple of times when we were up there for free room and board and too much beer (is there such a thing?) It was in perfect shape and had less than 100 miles on it but... it still was a MR2. He was a mid-engine nut thought it would be very collectible because it was a "modern 914"...

Looking at info on Hemmings and Kelly Blue book... I think he's got a few more years if he's even going to break even on this one.
 
I heard a story from someone about a guy that bought a new corvette every year(starting in the late 50's) and just stored them all away...As far as i know he's still got them....probably made a fair bit on some of them.

Paretti Imports in Metairie, Louisiana (part of greater New Orleans) does indeed own a never-titled '81 "Limited Edition" black MGB, as well as 2 '76 TR6s (BRG and White). I used to ogle them at their Jaguar showroom in Metairie before they moved them out for storage in Baton Rouge. They are NOT for sale, unfortunately. These are for real. Old man Paretti has these as well as some Fieros (they are also a Pontiac franchise) plus various and sundry other never-titled cars (and bikes I believe). Somebody someday will make a real haul when they eventually hit the market.
I know that he has had a serious offer of 30K for each of the Triumphs. Not interested. What a shame.
