Well guys I've gone and done it. I sold off my MGC and moved on to a TC. I thought I'd never give up the C but I did. And I'm loving it.

I fell in love with this 1948 TC it the moment I saw it. Such a beautiful car. I love the lines, I love the right hand drive, I even love the way it drives. And the looks it gets when we are on the road is an added bonus.

It's an older restoration but since it sat in a collection since the restoration in the 70s it hasn't seen a lot of miles (7700), and it never saw rain or snow (unlike the C). And a bonus is that its Supercharged!

I'll be asking questions of you TC knowledgeable members, and I'm sure there will be many.

Thanks guys

Well, after all it IS the car that most say started the love affair with sports cars over here in the states. And it's the one many of us grew up loving after reading The Red Car. Even though my Victor is a TF replica, it's so true to the original that most are fooled, and it certainly replicates the driving experience.

Just took a run in it the other day to visit Bruce Clifford, who's just moved into the area from Colorado. Bruce is the one who "introduced" me to my Victor by posting it here on BCF when it went up for sale as an uncompleted kit. He's had a couple of them over the years as well.

Anyway, enough of that. Hope you have years of great driving with yours!

I have owned both. It really depends on what sort of work you want the car to do.
Is it fitted with a Shorrocks?

Excellent! I think the TC is one of the prettiest cars ever made. As I can't own one (don't fit) I'll enjoy following along as you get to know yours.
