Me too!! That is unique enough that unless it is hacked up (and who would do that to a beauty like her)it should be locatable world wide (Hint, hint BCF members - keep your eyes peeled - odds are it went into a container to SOMEWHERE - maybe that's why "Dave" from Pakky was looking for a body kit?)!! Hard to believe in people when a car like that gets stolen!! I certainly hope they catch the culprit! That is an innovative use of ebay... I hope it works.

There’s a certain sickness and violation you feel when something is stolen from you. I feel the owner. My neck of the woods too. Mike, it wouldn’t surprise me about being on a container ship. San Pedro and the Port of Los Angeles are not far away.

That's beat! Interesting way of searching for it. Hope it was not parted out.

james, i too would like to see the car returned/found, unfortunately these vehicles are a specific target of a small group of thieves with knowledge of the specific mark hed be lucky if it were just kids going for a joy ride his chances of finding it in a reusable/fixable condition would be greater, the $5000.00 reward is probably designed to be substantial enough to perhaps weed out the one individual among the thieves with enough financial need to turn on his accomplices a.k.a. "the rat" to obtain the fee,and thats a pretty long shot,in addition id like to let the owner know there are still some of us enthusiasts that would not accept the fee if wed found his car,i wish the owner all the luck.

Here, here, the reward would be in catching the bad guys, who should be Saddamized!!

bugimike, indeed! the first time i was in saudi arabia i was amazed seeing folding card tables on the sidewalks in the markets being used to display large quantitys of gold, gems, and stacks of bundled money right out in the open no security guards, just an occasional casual glance from the respective shop keeper from inside thier shops, and they were more interested in identifying and servicing potential clients rather then being leery of thieves, the reason is when a thief is cought in thier "hood" they get one hand cut off for the first offence, another for the second, makes it pretty hard to drive a stolen car then doesnt it! this may sound barbaric to some but has proven quite affective, and i can tell you were i to catch someone attempting to steal or having stolen my property (especialy my healey) hed wish he was born and gotten cought stealing in arabia instead.

haven't lived till you have been to Chop Chop square on friday at noon.

Hmmm, now there is a mental image...from the chop shop to the chop chop!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
