I never watch AM got talent because it is awful!!
I love music all aspects of it and that was a beautiful reinactment of that song and very surprising!!!!!
I might just have to start watching that from now on

About a year or 2 ago there was a male equivalent. Audience more or less did the same thing when he came out. Then he sang a beautiful opera piece that brought tears to the audience. Although both were great it makes me wonder if this is not a bit planned.

I don't know if scripted is the right word - staged or planned perhaps. The open try-outs surely aren't. Once those are over, they know what they have to work with and the staging/planning kicks in certainly. She had to audition/try out, someone heard her sing before she went on that stage. Where the judges reactions scripted? I prefer to think not. I'd venture to say that the audience reaction was not scripted - but anything is possible. Scripted, planned, staged, etc. or not, her talents surely did not match what first meets the eye. Just like the guy 2 seasons ago and just like the guy we know better as Gomer Pyle - Jim Neighbors.
