MGB NEED YOUR ADVICE ON MY BRAND NEW [OLD] MGB

Niomi...welcome to the Forum

It is amazing how a new woman can bring out the guys here in MG land! LOL But I have to agree, if you read Tony's list, that about covers it. My 74B (Dolly Clementine) was running well when I got it, but I still printed out the "Sleeping B" instructions to follow over the winter...and will use it again, just to make sure she gets the attention she needs

I'd love to see pics of your car if you have them. I am especially interested in finding a pic of under the hood, as I am going to try to corect a few DPO problems this winter and would like to see what a 74B engine comparment should look like.

No wonder I couldn't find all my friends at the other location----you're over here! Hey, I think I like this place too. I would mention names but would most likely leave someone out and that would not be nice. I will mention one though---hey Austin H. Driver, you really want an MGB don't ya? I really don't have a question tonight because the hubby won't work on my new/old 74 MGB until the weekend and I have to wait on him. He even say's he is going fishing first thing Saturday morning and then work on it in the afternoon. I will make sure he does!! Ya'll take care now, you hear!

Naomi...tell him you're goin' to go fishin' with him Saturday morning! I'll bet he'll be in the garage workin' on that '74 Friday night

Naomi....my philosophy works both ways: "If you never say 'no' to him, he can never say 'no' to you!"

Henri,

I'll help you out here. Be nice to Henri guys and gals. Naomi. Dont wait for your hubby to do the work. Just dive in, the water is grand!!

hey Austin H. Driver, you really want an MGB don't ya?

Naomi...how quick you've turned on me...must be the after-shave cologne I use...as a matter of fact I was on my way to buy a 52 MG-TD...when I realized that I couldn't fit into it...seems that I recall they were once call the MG Midget"...well for me...they all are just that...same reason I have a tought time driving a corvette...most of my height is in my legs...it ends up that I just don't have a MG body...my loss apparently...

Oh...before the wolves come out...and we all know who they are...I'm 6'2' and 225lbs...with a 34" waist...so don't even go there...

Okay...let the "dogs" out...

Henri,
It's not too late to pick up a B. I'm 6'4", 265 and I fit. Car doesn't go too quick, but I'm in!

Thank you for correcting my spelling error Brenda...I'm a semi-educationed man, which means I have a college degree...however, spelling was not one of my strong suits nor required as I majored in Political Science - Pre-Law...I'm an idea man...meaning that if you have an problem...I can might be able to give you and idea on how to fix it...don't ask me to do it however...that I leave to others...I like words...and sometimes I even put them in the right order...and then they may say something...other times...I find that what is in my mind...is only there...and my fingers decide on doing something else...which I fear is the case in my previous posting...

JFC...wow...how do you manage...I barely make it into my Healey...of course my eyes are level with the top of the window...as to the MG...the only one I really love is the TD and TC...very vintage...and in that car...I'd look like I was driving one of those cars in Disneyland...if I ever do buy one...I'm thinking of redesigning the seat to fit me...and probably going to bucket seats...to boot...

Henri....I'm 6', 235 w/40" waist & I get in my '53 TD...even get in my '63 Midget (with top down)

Okay Tony...but are you really comfortable? My Healey is driven daily but it is not my main car...the car I drive...especially for any distance is a very large car...with plenty of room and comfort...emphasis on the comfort...

The late Midgets are comfortable but the '63 is most comfortable - must be the extra width because of no roll-up windows...the TD steering wheel is a bit close to the chest

you fit in a late midget Tony? I used to fit in a bugeye Healey, but not with the top up

As I mentioned earlier in this post...the only MG that I really like is the TD or TC...that is not to say that I've not seen some really, really nice MG's...in fact there are some MG models that remind me of a Healey...but the later MG's are very small cars...that's why we call them LBC...a Jag or Healey are a bit larger and more comfortable...

We forgive you, Henri, & accept you just as you are!

We do?? Why?

Henri used the "B" word. I know, I know... it is on my profile though. I'm old enough and balanced enough now to handle being called anything!

Still, I'll go for the jugular if he ever really ticks me off, problem is at 6'2" I probably wouldn't reach it!!!
