Sorry, but I still need more help on a kidney pad. I found some NOS kidney pads being offered on Ebay. Apparently the 69-72 kidney pads were different from other years originally. On and earlier post I mentioned how I couldn't get the panel I made to fit correctly, and I found out why. The passenger side is quite different from the driver side. (https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Triumph-TR6-RH-Console-Underdash-panel-NOS-822261-new-_W0QQcmd) Is there anyone who could trace the passenger panel and mail it to me? Don't really feel like paying $88. Thanks, Kevin

Interesting. According to TRF. 74 and later is the long pieces. the earlier ones are shorter. So 73 down will work for Kevin

Kevin, you have Bob Danielson's e mail?
Bet he has a set laying around.
He might be able to trace it and send it to you in a PDF

The driver and passenger are shaped differently but they measure the same from front to back. Moss and the TRF Green Book show the same part number for all year cars. Here's an auction I have going for a com...en the two KPs.

I've sold these complete interior panel sets and they fit TR4-TR6 so I doubt Triumph would make KPs that changed with model year. On the panels, they only thing that changed was the design/stitching.

The KPs do bend a little to get the fit right and the metal bracket that goes over the dash support should be in the right place..... I'd hope!

Here's a picture from the back that really shows the difference

Bobby, check the TRF Website
XKC351/s and 371/s 73 and older
XKC351/l and 371/l 74 and newer

I thought it meant long and short. as I had heard that the later ones were longer.

Not a good day for me I'm afraid.
