I got flagged on CL for overposting and now I can't post anything at all. How can I change my IP address?

They're sneaky little bastages now. They send you a ghost link making you think you have an ad but it doesn;t show up in the search.

Turn off your modem for about fifteen minutes. Clear your browser cache while you wait.

Time's UP, Billy!!

May or may not work, depending on your internet provider. For some time our local provider (Comcast) issued us a static, routable IP address. If your IP doesn't change with Doc's suggestion, then call your provider... or use a machine at the local library.

I'd like my provider to conveniently issue me a FREE static IP addy!!!

It was helpful, Doc. I was an early adopter here, and at the time they didn't seem to understand that a Mac could do DHCP... I neglected to educate them further.

I did but seems I'm still having trouble. My ads keeep getting deleted. CL is sending me ghost links that I have to post in regular ads. If I post the ad, it gets deleted.

Worst time for this to happen too.

Be sure to Unplug the router- not just flip the switch...

30 bucks for a license. Works very well. You can set it to automatically randomly change at different time periods or set it manually whenever you want. 14 day free trial.

Rich is likely right. And if the site is using a MAC ID, you'd have to change the NIC physically.

Or spoof it on your router...

Mine sends back a buncha zeros.
