Need suggestions regarding exhaust system

[ QUOTE ]
Thanks Velox, Don't mind that Keoke fella, he's got no sense of humor.

And Mr. K, it's oval. It's oval. And before you even ask, "Bell" is just a name. It doesn't ring.

More suggestions:

If you prefer a Steel system, instead of Stainless steel, I had a good experience sending my exhaust pipes to a company called Jet-Hot Coatings.

https://www.jet-hot.com

they're famous for their Sterling Coating, which also comes in Black, and Grey. A mixture of silver and ceramic powders, the Sterling coating looks a bit like chrome but not exactly, used mostly for exhaust headers and pipes in jet and train engines and hot rods, and now used for preservation of automotive parts too. They're quick and not expensive. I coated all the exhaust system pipes in my '84 Jaguar XJ-6 which are mild steel, and other parts like brackets and fixtures. the exhaust system temperature no longer gets so hot, (they're coated inside and outside) you can actually touch the pipes and not get burned. Since you wanted a black finish (paint will peel off), this is one sure way to go. They guarantee their coating for 3 years. This is metallurgy science for car restorers. Try it, you'll thank me.

Jet Hot did the exhaust system on one of my airplanes and I am really pleased. The Sterling exhaust pipes still look like S/S after 4 years now and the black thermal barrier coated mufflers and stacks are like new. The do great work and if it is new material I think they give a lifetime warranty

That makes two of us. My exhaust system was part mild steel (a new European style "Y" pipe), and part stainless steel (I used the original over-the-axle pipes which Jet Hot restored like new), and what they sent me back looked better than new, (I did the Sterling coating too), in the 2 or more years I've used them, they are still shiny. The incredible thing is that they can use old parts and make them like new. (sorry - no rusted through parts, they have to be fairly solid).
