Need some good advice before purchasing...

In high school I had a 64 Spitfire, liked it, but slightly underpowered, bought a midget 3 years ago, I was to long, bought it without getting in it. Now, I would like to know before my purchase, what it means between MG, Triumph, Healey, and Jaguar. Club people an enthusiasts all know, I don't. If you had $35k, with my height, I'd like it nicer, and would keep it there, which of the three would you recommend? Which is the more popular with what group of people? THANKS VOWS2014:cool::cool:

Welcome to the BCF. I don't know how tall you are, but then at 5'7", I probably cannot relate anyway. Maybe you should post on each of the marque forums here and ask your question as to your size and the comfort you will find in various cars. But no matter what you get, you won't find a friendlier group than you found here. Good luck with the hunt, and enjoy the ride!

At 6'3" I cannot get in a Midget, Sprite,TR6. Most other cars I have been able to get in. the 64 Spit, 1500, or GT6 no problem, Cannot get set in XKE Roadsters as eyes are level with windscreen. Coupes OK. Don't have any problems with Austin Healey or Minis. As for popularity: same as Mopar, Ford or Chevy, individuals preference. No one can pick a specific car that has to be fitted to your personality and preference. In 48 years of driving, been in about everything and my preference is Jaguar, Land Rover, Triumph. Still would not turn down anything that comes my way for a price.

You need to sit in them all, take them out for a drive. You can tell my preference from the avatar, but everyone has their own opinion, and it truly is personal preference. Good luck with whatever you choose!
