Need Some Advice on My 1967 BJ8

Hi Everyone,
I need some advice. I have a 1967 BJ8 with an overhaul motor, which was done a year and half ago. The motor has 2300 miles on since rebuild. I'm getting some condensation on the valve cover cap every time I drive and it is turning into a emulsion on longer drives. I getting white smoke on startup also notice some water dripping out on one the exhaust pipe,but it only last for about 30 seconds.Is this normal? I have no coolant lost in the radiator. What do you recommend I do? My first thought is to re-torque the head bolts. The manual recommend 75, is it okay to do 80 or 85? I guess if that doesn't work I will remove the head and go for there. What do you guys recommend. I hear there is quite a difference in head gaskets is there any recommendations that you would advice in terms of thickness(copper or steel)?

The dripping water out of the exhaust pipe is more likely "condensation" in the mufflers.

Just to be on the safe side check the oil in the sump and make sure it is still clean?

Will check the sump, so far nothing on dipstick. What about re-torguing the head bolts to 80 or 85 is that okay to do?

If you follow the manual re-torquing to 80 should be OK,but it may not solve the problem-??

It has to come from someplace and they do fail.

Rebuilt engines may seem to be more susceptible than factory original cars given the broad selection of aftermarket parts today..??

What do you recommend a head cooper gasket or steel gasket. Is there a difference in the thickness?

Not driving far enough to warm motor sufficiently will produce the moisture and color on oil cap. If not changing oil yearly at the least will let this moisture in the engine. Unless you are loosing coolant and have no oil in radiator, drive it more often and get it warm. Do not just idle, that will wash the rings. make sure you have the right rad cap and thermo and retorque the heads again.
