Can anyone tell me how the headlight buckets are attached to the body? When I first bought my car the headlight buckets were not attached. There were, however, 6 various sized self-tapping screws that were in the holes on the body where the buckets are attached. After looking at the TRF, VB, and Moss cataloges, and my Bentley manual,I still can not figure out how they go together (It was probably so simple they figure they didn't need to explain it.) Did the PO butcher up the holes in which the headlight screws went directly into the body, or are there nuts that clip to the body (correct name?) that the screw go through?

Thanks,
Kevin

Not sure, but my TRF catalog lists P/N 569313 as a Pop rivet, securing headlamps to body.

Kevin if you can wait till tomorrow I'll call you and talk you thru it. I also might have some extra parts. I need to talk to you anyway about your gauge gaskets.

It was a "riveting experience", to say the least.

Mine are riveted in.

Thanks for the information. Never even thought of using pop rivets since Moss showed screws being used. And yes, I can wait until tomorrow for your call, Don.
