MGA Need MGA Front and Rear Brake Drums

Country flag
Offline
Bought an early 1500 MGA coupe today. PO removed the front and rear brake to do a brake job. That was a couple of years ago. He has lost the drums and I ended up with the car. Does anyone have some to sell. I'll watch ebay but had rather buy from someone here if I can.

Please PM or email me

THANKS!

I will dig into the parts pile. If I find any it will just cost you shipping! They look like a early MGB drum but have smaller stud holes on the front and rear of a steel wheel car. A wire wheel car has different front drums with 6? holes to mount them??. So, steel wheel car or wires? Bob

Bob,

Its a wire wheel car with the 6 holes. Appreciate you looking, will be glad to pay something for the parts or when you need something let me know.

Marv, I have 3 rear drums. I think there is a ww front around here but just can not find it. Or I already moved it down the road! If you want the rears i will box them up and send them your way. I have a good friend in Atlanta (Conyers Ga)that has a complete MGA 1500 wire wheel front end. He may or may not split the drums off of it. I will check and get back to you. Bob

Bob,

Please send me two rears. Let me know cost and I will get you payment ASAP.
Any info on two fronts will be great!

Not sure if it would help you, but I will soon have a 1500 front suspension and brake setup available. This is everything including arms, shocks, drums, pads, hubs, brake hoses, etc. All fully restored, brand new hubs with only a couple thousand miles on them. They are off my personal car, and it's all ready to bolt up and go with no additional work necessary. Springs are the only thing not included.

All I need is an excuse to finish the project so the parts become available!

Bob,

Thanks bunches. I'm goofing off for the next couple of days in Mobile, AL. Its Mardi Gras here this week. Will be in touch.

Steve, Thanks for the offer. Just really need the fron drums.

My 2 drums hit the mail today. I ran out of packing tape and this morning was the soonest I could get back at it. If they do not clean up within spec just let me know and I will find more. Bob

Bob,
Thanks for the update, Mail didn't run today.
Big snow here and everything pretty much shut down. I stayed home and worked on "Honey do"jobs.
