Can anyone tell me where I can buy a lens (front glass) for a Lucas 7-inch driving light of the type pictured?

(A specific vendor or individual, please; I am well aware of eBay, etc.)

Thanks.

Hi Reid. I once found some old Mercedes driving light lenses through Daniel Stern lighting. No guarantees, but he might at least have a suggestion!

Good luck.

Phil

Hold onto your seat belt and Google 'vintage Supplies' on the world wide web thingy. Yours looks just like the CLR700. However, it is a repro item and you might just have to buy the whole unit at ÂŁ79.20 plus carriage. On the other hand they just may do the lense as a spare, you could always ask.

cheers

Bob

Just Googled CLR driving lamps and the same company do a replacement lense etc for ÂŁ37.20 plus carriage.

So brake open that piggy bank of yours and go for it!

Is this different from the ones that fit the Lucas driving/fog lamps with the Lucas emblem on the top? I have an extra set of those that are not ribbed.

Thanks Bob!

I couldn't get the online ordering to work, but I'll stay up to 1 a.m. (here in the Pacific Time Zone) and give them a call (when hopefully they will be answering the phone in the UK).

Now Editor Reid, you will have me crying in my beer, and you must be dead eager to spend your shekles.
Oregon must be around 8 hours behind the UK therefore at 8am your time, it would be circa 4pm UK. Plenty of time to phone your order through and get your beauty sleep as well. lol

Bob

Just spoke with them (half past midnight here, about 8:30 a.m. there) and completed the order. So I've missed a little beauty sleep, but it's pretty much too late for that to do any good anyway!

Thanks for the lead. Lots of good stuff in that store.
