Long story- pls be patient w/me…My late FIL had a Gazelle kit car which he drove into 93rd yr. Dghtr in NC would drive it when she came to visit. So, having no real use for it after he died we decided to give it to her. It had set for 2yrs so I had carb cleaned, lines flushed, etc. and trailered it to her in Goldsboro. I knew it needed E-brake installed (only lever there) but thought since a Mustang II running gear/chassis it would be simple to retrofit. NOT SO! She can’t find anyone willing to even look at a kit car, and now it is overheating and has a tranny leak too. I NEED HELP- anyone know of an indy shop in the general area of G’Boro that I can trust to not rip me off and also not charge like it was a Bentley. Yes, we’re going to pay for whatever it takes, within reason; her teacher’s salary just got cut by a pay period by some sort of NC “adjustment”. If we can’t find a place we’ll probably send it to the “you pull” yard. Gazelles are not worth much these days. This one is an emotional, not financial decision. It took FIL almost 10 yrs and 3 “builders” to get the car on the road in the first place. All sugestions welcome
