We're leaving tat the end of the month (August),
driving to Tennessee (Collagedale),& on to Jacksonville,
Florida.
We'll be in Denver on the evening of September 1st,
leving the morning of the 2nd,heading through Kansas.
Any ideas on where to stop, stay,& eat in Kansas or into Missouri?

If you're in Kansas City, try either the original Hereford Steak House downtown near the old train terminal or the Golden Ox out by the stockyards....both are great steak places! Of course there's also Arthur Bryant's BBQ!

Are you talking about Collegedale, TN over by Chattanooga? If so, you're about 1-1/2 hour max from me!

I'm an old Kansas City boy and Tony hit it right on!!! course I'm partial to BBQ...only other thing I'd recommend is a morning donut or two from Lamar's...

& if you go to Arthr Bryant's - go hungry!! & get 1 order of french fries between the 2 of you!

I would stay on the plaza near downtown Kansas City. Very nice area with lots of shopping and lots of places to eat.

If you've got your stomach set on BBQ there are lots of options in KC. Arthur Bryants is a good option and split the fries!
