TR6 Need guidance on TR6 electrical issue

Just got TR6 back from shop after a tune-up and a foray into the electrical system to fix the left turn signals that were not working....Upon returning to my home, I have discovered that the in-dash stereo wil not power on, the glove compartment light is not working and neither is the interior map light. I will assume they all operate on the same circuit which is now without any juice.

The shop is a 40-minute drive....any guidance on things I can check before trudging the car all the way back out there for what I suspect is a rather simple fix (except for me asI am a novice!)?

Thanks.

It might just be a blown fuse. Check them all but especially the one that has all the purple wires. If it's blown and blows again after it's replaced, someone has some tracking down to do.

Which would very likely be a wire that got pinched while they were working on the turn signals.

For a 'newbie', I would also heartily recommend Dan Masters' book

which I believe is still available from Moss & TRF.

Besides the book that Randall recommended (which BTW....Randall helped Dan with :yesnod: ), you should go to the AAW site and download the FREE wiring schematic for your car. These color coded schematics are more accurate than the one that came with your car.

We need to come up with a listing for a must have kit for TR's for new owners.

Does the Horn and seat belt warning lamps work? If they do its probaly not the fuse because all these items seem to be on the same circuit (According to the diagram.) Unless someone installed a fuse else where in the car.

No, not really. Dan deserves all the credit; I'm at best an honorable mention
