Need cloisonne front emblem

Hi,

I'm looking for a cloisonne set of wings for my 3000 Mk III. Does anyone know where I might find them? Alternatively, I have the old badge and it could be refinished.

As our friend from Oz said, AH Spares has them. Plus, Moss gets theirs from AH Spares. I would check difference in cost and factor in about 20% to ship it from UK and see who is less !

Also try British Car Specialists in Stockton California.
Keep in mind, the badges are reproductions and you may have to buy and return a few before you find a good one. The reproductions are not consistent in quality. Check Ebay too. If you find an NOS, you're one luck guy.

There was a chnage from the cloisonne ones to painted ones. To be correct, if that's what your after, you might want to check th BJ8 Registry. I think the Registar might have that info.

I sold one to someone in So Cal a few years ago. I asked him to make me an offer and he sent me $250 and included a superb photograph of a racing bugeye. I was blown away at the deal.

Here's what you'll find when looking:

1. NOS (new old stock) The real thing, very rare find.
2. Used original, most likely worn looking.
3. Aftermarket, looks like new, but not exactly like original. Letters may be slightly larger or smaller, metal not as thick as original etc.

Wow, thanks everyone! I think it's it's a gorgeous badge, one of the many beautiful styling decisions. I've gotten tired of looking at my old, and painted one (by me).

I've been away from working on the car for a while and forgot many of the good sources, including this one. Thanks again.
