Quite a while ago I bought a kit from a contact at the NTAHC. It's a very nice kit and I am sure I have the right one for my car but the alternator pulley is about 1/8th inch forward of the water pump and crank pulleys. I seems to me that the only way to get it to back up into alignment is to shave some material off the smaller, top mounting tab of the alternator. The instructions don't indicate that this should be necessary and I was hoping for a rather simple bolt in operation after the kit was installed because if the alternator fails on a Road Trip i don't want to need to shave a replacement alternator along the road. Has anyone had experience with this installation and can advise me? Thanks, Dave.
