T-Series Need Advice - MGTF Steel Wheels Need Attention

The steel wheels on my TF 1500 have dents and dings along the rims that meets the tires. I assume from pot holes. Anyway, they look bad.

Is there a company recommended that can get out the dings and dents? Or, am I waisting my time? If so, is there a (good) place to buy replacement wheels?

Thanks for the advice!

Tom, I think that TD and TF wheels are the same. Don't know if the hub caps are though, but I would think the same also. Look on ebay for a set of good ones. I've seen them from time to time. Bent wheels, depending just how bad, are usually a candidate for the junk pile.

There's a set of 5 on ebay right now! Needs sand blasted and painted, but from the photos, they look in good condition. PJ

Thinking about it, I'd make an offer. The buy it now price seems a tad high.

Tom,

Try the Wheel Collision Center. They're about an hour north of you, near Bath PA. They'll straighten steel wheels for about $45ea. Their specialty is repairing aluminum wheels, but they can do pretty much anything with a wheel, including welding and redrilling bolt patterns. I've been using them for years and have been very satisfied. Ask for a tour of the shop.
