Need a pulley

I've been cleaning up parts and started on the generator. My pulley looks like it has seen its last days. It comes from a lucas c40 generator/dynamo. Any leads on a used source (<~$89 from the suppliers).

Thanks

Paul

Is this for a mechanically driven tach? If so, I got one. Measure it and let me know what the outside diameter is.

Is this for a mechanically driven tach? Yes 3 5/8 OD. The ID of the shaft is difficult to measure as it has been roughed up-also. It has a keyway and is rivited.

Thanks

Paul

I've got a couple, you're welcome to one. Send me your address and I'll send it off. I'm in Davis, shipping should be cheap.

The id are the same for all years, (I believe.) The od is what you need to worry about if you are running a mech. tach.

This has to be a delivery record.   Glen is in Davis 95 miles away. Abe another forum member is in Davis today and is coming down here to check out a bonnet that I got from another member (Cortina) for some parts for his sprite. I call Abe; as I know he knows Glen and Abe delivers pulley to me at 7:45pm.

Glen even paints the pulley for me  and the paint is not even dry when its in my hands. This forum is great :winner1:

Thank guys

Paul

Boy, talk about fast parts delivery. And you are correct, this forum is great as always.

Just Curious... what is the correct size of the pulley for a tach drive generator? I picked up a used generator, that has the tach drive, but I'm not 100% sure it came from a bugeye. I think so T series cars also used the tach drive, right?

3 5/8" od. The tack will not read correctly with a different od. I had a smaller pulley from, i imagine, a later spridget. Tach was reading about twice as it should.

Thanks Barry!

This one appears to be the correct size. Since I don't know it's history, I'm going to have a local shop rebuild it... might as well.
